Technology has found it’s way into almost every aspect of running a business these days. Even small companies need to have a “tech-nerd” around to keep everything running properly. The technology that we use to do our work takes constant maintenance and updating to operate at optimum levels.
Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) is a multinational information technology (IT) services company. They provide IT services to some of the biggest companies in the world, including the federal government. It was originally founded in April, 1959 by Roy Nutt and Fletcher Jones. In 1963 CSC became the largest software company in the United States. Shortly afterward, they became the first software company to be listed on the American Stock Exchange. By the mid 70’s they had expanded globally, landing big contracts within the defense industry. In 1995, CSC made it into the Fortune 500, and have been there ever since. In March of 2008, Corporate headquarters were relocated to Annandale, Virginia where it remains to this day. Employing approximately 74,000 people in 70 countries, CSC is one of the largest IT providers in the world.
To achieve the kind of success that Computer Sciences Corporation has enjoyed, it takes people of the highest caliber. It takes people like Eric Pulier. A Harvard graduate, Mr. Pulier has been involved in many ventures. These are just a few:
1997, the Presidential Inaugural Committee chose Pulier to put together the Presidential Technology Exhibition in Washington D.C.
Following the exhibition, he participated in Vice President Al Gore’s health care and technology forum and advised on health care and technology initiatives.
He also co-authored Understanding Enterprise SOA, a noted book on service-oriented architecture.
Mr. Pulier is a donor to several non-profit organizations, and sits on the innovation board of the X-Prize Foundation
Mr. Pulier served as Vice President and General Manager of Cloud at Computer Sciences Corporation and CSC Australia Pty. Ltd
Mr. Pulier directed Computer Sciences Corporation’s creation and delivery of cloud offerings that enable organizations to deliver IT-as-a-Service from internal and external providers, dramatically increasing productivity and lowering cost.
As you can see, Eric Pulier has an abundance of abilities. It’s no wonder he’s been so successful.
