Dr. David Samadi Explains Why His Team Is So Efficient and His Inspiration for His Team Method

Dr. David Samadi, the head of Robotic Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital, explained that one of the reasons he is so successful is that he has the most efficient team in the world. It is the only place, in fact, where one robot can perform five robotic prostate surgeries in one day. He stressed that he is more concerned about and focused on being efficient and effective rather than being speedy. However, he has a team that he has been working with for twenty years, so they can get a lot done pretty quickly while being extremely efficient.

He further explained that he was inspired by an interview he had seen about the former CEO of Jetblue. The CEO explained that Jet Blue is so efficient because they have a dedicated team that knows how to work together to get more done. For example, the planes are always ready for the pilots to come on and immediately take off. The planes are all cleaned by a specific crew so that the pilots do not have to waste time. Dr. David Samadi has instituted the same strategy in his practice. He is like the pilot. The nurses and staff are like his crew. He is able to go into the operating room and immediately start the surgery, because the nurses have cleaned the room and prepared everything beforehand. He does not waste any time, which is why he is so efficient.

Dr. David Samadi explained that he is always driven to achieve solid results. He doesn’t like long meetings where people talk and talk. He believes in just getting things done. He also believes that you have to be positive all the time and stay away from negative feelings, including jealousy.

Dr. David Samadi also said that he uses deep breathing techniques to stay calm and be more productive. He also said that he exercises a lot to reduce tension. He also stays around productive and positive people. He added that a pastime he enjoys is playing backgammon.

Dr. David Samadi studied at Stony Brook University, where he got his degree in biochemistry. He later attended the Stony Brook School of Medicine, where he got his medical degree in 1994. He did his medical training at the prestigious hospitals Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center.
